- 1) Can anyone become a coach on the platform?
- No. We specifically look for coaches who are pursuing or have already obtained a doctoral degree or state examination. We only accept coaches from top-tier universities.
- 2) How does the application process work?
- The application process includes submitting your CV and relevant academic documents, an online interview, contract signing, and training.
- 3) How can I apply as a coach?
- You can apply by submitting your required documents through our platform or sending them via email.
- 4) In what form do I work as a coach with RyT?
- You work as a freelancer with RyT and provide high-quality coaching to students. We handle the administration, from setting up SharePoint to coordinating online meetings, so you can focus fully on coaching.

- 5) How can I earn money as a coach on the platform?
- Each of our excellent coaches receives compensation of 40 EUR/hour. This hourly rate covers all aspects of their work, from preparation and proofreading to one-on-one coaching.
- 6) How much can I expect per month?
- Your monthly earnings depend on the number of hours you spend. You can flexibly decide how many hours you want to work per month and how many students you want to supervise. We offer you competitive compensation.
- 7) When do I receive my payment?
- Payment is made on a monthly basis. Once we receive an invoice from you, your payment will be processed within the following 30 days. Please keep your bank details current to ensure quick payment.
- 8) How do I handle invoicing?
- We provide you with an invoice template that you must fill out and sign at the end of each month. Once we receive an invoice from you, payment will be transferred within the following 30 days.
- 9) Do I need to inform the tax office & social security?
- Yes, you are required to report your freelance activity as a coach at Rock your Thesis to your relevant tax office. Social security contributions are not levied on this income.
Compensation & Payments
- 10) How am I matched with students?
- Our team conducts initial conversations with each student. We then compile a list of thematically and methodologically suitable coaches and contact them to check interest and availability. We avoid coaches and students from the same university working together to prevent conflicts.
- 11) Will I still be paid if an online meeting is cancelled?
- If a student cancels an online meeting more than 72 hours before the appointment, coaches receive no payment. For cancellations within the 72-hour window before the online meeting, coaches receive compensation of EUR 15.00. The exact conditions for this are listed in your freelancer contract.
- 12) What if I need a break or vacation?
- At the beginning of each month, you must provide us with an overview of your availability for the next 8 weeks. If you have accepted a coaching assignment, you are obligated to supervise the student throughout the entire period.

- 13) When can I start one-on-one coaching?
- After you have completed the mandatory training and the required criteria are met, you are ready for one-on-one coaching.
- 14) How does coach training work?
- When needed, we provide comprehensive training materials to equip you with the necessary tools and methods for effective online coaching. Recordings of live meetings are available.
- 15) What support do I receive for questions and problems?
- Our dedicated coach support team is available to you at all times. Whether you have technical problems, questions about academic topics, or other concerns, we are here for you.

- 16) How do I handle inquiries about my personal contact information?
- Do not share personal contact information. Make it clear that communication goes through the tools we provide. Protecting your privacy is our top priority.
- 17) Is there a code of conduct that I must follow?
- Yes, all coaches must adhere to our comprehensive code of conduct, which ensures professional and ethical behavior in all interactions.
- 18) Must I report changes to my qualifications or data?
- Yes, you should promptly report to us all significant changes to your personal circumstances, qualifications, or other relevant information.
